Now that you know Miches is the Dominican Republic’s new gem, imagine enhancing that experience with a wonderful all-inclusive resort. That’s what you’ll discover in this article — the best hotels in Miches.
The region has several beaches, but they are all very similar because they are located in the same bay. Picture coconut trees by the sea, calm green waters without seaweed (which proliferates in the Caribbean Sea between June and September), and opportunities for sports such as kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding. These beaches are also perfect for enjoying the Caribbean with children, as the sea is shallow and you can walk quite a distance before it gets deep. All of our hotel recommendations have their beach area facing this bay. Shall we go check it out?

Zemí Miches Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton
Our first recommendation is also the one that impressed us the most: Zemí Miches, the first Curio Collection by Hilton all-inclusive resort in the country, which opened in June 2025. The resort’s name, Zemí, means “god” or “ancestral spirit” in the language of the Taínos, the indigenous people of the Dominican Republic. In addition to the name, the hotel’s architecture and stunning decor elegantly reflect the island’s cultural roots.
There are 500 rooms, including suites and bungalows with sea or tropical views (some with private pools), in addition to Club Azure accommodations, which guarantee exclusive access to the infinity pool, café, and rooftop bar.
In total, there are four swimming pools, eight bars, and six delicious restaurants, including Toa, which specializes in Dominican cuisine, and Guacete, which offers a food display format with a variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And for those who don’t want to give up exercising, especially after indulging in the resort’s gastronomic delights, Zemí Miches offers an incredible gym, water sports, and activities throughout the day.
🌱 Sustainability:
Zemí adopts sustainable practices such as using wooden bracelets as keys, reusing water, and composting organic products. Water filters are available on each floor for refilling reusable bottles, and amenities are provided in recyclable packaging and refillable containers. As part of Hilton’s Travel with Purpose program, Zemí involves the local community in activities such as craft workshops, where guests learn from artisans and can create their own souvenirs from their trip — amazing! In addition, this all-inclusive resort is part of Promiches and the Protortuga project.

Personal review of Zemí Miches All-Inclusive Resort
“The hotel is beautiful and elegant, with spacious, comfortable rooms. It’s hard to decide where to relax: in one of the beautiful pools or on the peaceful beach right outside. Being able to enjoy water sports such as kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding deepens the connection with nature and the tranquillity of this hidden gem of the Dominican Republic. In addition to the resort’s overall luxury and tasteful design, Zemí’s cuisine stands out: the dishes are delicious, the ingredients fresh, and the restaurants live up to their glowing reputation. As a vegetarian, I felt very welcomed. There were always tasty and creative meat-free options, along with vegan dishes, and the staff easily accommodated substitutions.”

Viva Miches by Wyndham, A Trademark All Inclusive
Open since December 2024, Viva Miches by Wyndham is a relaxed hotel that’s perfect for a family getaway. It has 486 rooms and suites, with sea or garden views. Guests can enjoy four swimming pools, including one exclusively for Club Viva members.
There are five restaurants at this all-inclusive resort in Miches: four themed à la carte restaurants, which are open in the evening and require reservations, and El Lago, a varied buffet serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you’re feeling hungry in the afternoon, you can enjoy sweets at the café or grab snacks and fresh fruit at the pool bar. The resort also features five bars scattered throughout the property.
The beach is delightful, with calm waters, and you can book excursions such as Party Boat tours or snorkeling trips that depart directly from the hotel pier. The schedule is intense at Viva Miches, with various activities such as yoga, dance classes, and water sports, as well as children’s programming in the late afternoon, followed by shows or parties.
🌱 Sustainability: Upon entering the room, even before admiring the view from the balcony, we came across a small glass bottle provided for personal use during our stay. Called Vero, it could be filled with drinking water at various points around the hotel — there is even sparkling water in the dispensers at the bars! We also noticed that single-use plastic is rarely used, as all cups — even for drinks — are made of durable, reusable plastic. We spoke with Roberto Carlos, the quality control manager at Viva Miches. He explained that the hotel separates its waste, which is collected by a recycling company every two weeks. The property also has its own cistern and water treatment plant. Additionally, the hotel relies on renewable energy to minimize its environmental impact.

Personal review of Viva Miches by Wyndham
“When we arrived in our room, the small glass water bottle waiting for us was a pleasant surprise. It just got better: in the bars, I found reusable cups and, along the way, trash cans with separate compartments for recycling. Another thing I loved about this Italian hotel chain is that there is always a restaurant open, no matter what time it is. And, of course, buona pizza 🤌 , both at the El Lago buffets and at the Mediterranean Restaurant — delicious! There were also vegetarian and vegan options available.”

Marriott Miches Beach, An All-Inclusive Resort
We briefly visited the newly opened Marriott Miches Beach and found out that the hotel is huge, with distinct areas for families and adults only. The property features nine restaurants, eight bars, a spacious event area, a spa, a gym, multiple swimming pools, and a stunning beach with a long sandy stretch known as Playa de Arriba.
🌱 Sustainability: The hotel has adopted specific sustainability measures, particularly in the area of gastronomy. The farm-to-table and sea-to-table concepts are key here: seafood is purchased from local fishermen and fruit and vegetables come from regional producers. The hotel also participates in local sustainable development initiatives, such as Promiches and Protortuga. However, there is still room for improvement in reducing the use of plastic bottles and other disposable items. The hotel explained that this is a temporary measure during its initial months of operation. We look forward to seeing how they address this moving forward.
